Looka that eye!

This is the way Anna came home on Friday:

Can you believe that? Now who on earth could do that to a gorgeous girl?

She did! It was their assignment in Theater Arts! She did a pretty good job, don't you think?

Some postcards

I just finished a set of postcards for a swap using Misty Fuse.

Having limited supplies, I decided to see how many ways one can paint with Misty Fuse.

If you paint it heavily with undiluted Lumiere, you get a very solid surface, like gold leaf. You can stretch it a bit and get nice crackles. If you just lightly dab the paint, you get a lacy effect. If you water the paint down, most of the metallic doesn't stick, but you get colored web.

Since I had the paint out, I painted a few more things. I had three types of fusible web, so I painted some of the other two types. Wonder Under is fun, but very solid. The other stuff is the best, I think, as it is the most open. I am using that painted fusible (picture in a previous post) on a vase I'm working on.

Anyhow, here are the postcards:

This one below is my favorite. It looks like a picture of a nebula to me. There are two or three layers of Misty Fuse in places, some of it is holding down the non-heat bondable type of Angelina.

This one is using one of my silk fusion leaves.

Ok, so I can't tell orange from blue

Lily seems to have switched her bedspread colors. Obviously I didn't look at the picture when I wrote the caption!

Happy Birthday to Anna!

It was my baby's birthday on Tuesday. I now have 3 teens. Oy.

This is Lily's new bed. Lily doesn't have any sheets or a quilt yet, but she seems to sleep quite well under Anna's bandanna. Notice that the bandanna is Tennessee Orange.

Anna also got a new shirt from her Nana. (I like saying that. Anna-Nana. Anna-Nana. I'm easily amused)

I hope Nana doesn't see this picture, as tidy-the-house time came after the birthday celebration.

Yesterday I painted some fusible web. The stuff below is by HTC, I think. It is very open and lacey, and came on some cellophane-type plastic. I painted the web while it was on top of the plastic and now I have painted plastic and painted web! The plastic is actually prettier than the web.

Bekah saw this and immediately asked if she could have it. Why is it that that puts my back up so quickly? I wanted to say "NO! It's MINE!" Perhaps because she always asks for my stuff.
