evacuation initiates

We have evacuated due to Ike. We don't like Ike! Our town is partly flooded already, and we are predicted to have a 24 foot storm surge. Our house is 14 feet above sea level. Yikes.

Right now we are in Dallas with friends. If it looks like a long-term stay, we're going to travel to Birmingham to stay with my brother.

Though my espresso machine, coffee roaster, and grinder had to stay home, I did bring one of my Featherweights and my silk fusion! Gotta have something to do besides figure out how to file insurance claims.
